Ioana A. Mereuta is the Business Development Director SR EMEA at Dimenco, the leading company in spatial computing without wearables. Moving from Spain to the Netherlands, Ioana embraced Simulated Reality in a mission of stimulating a more collaborative culture to lead the future of human-computer interaction. Ioana holds a Joint MSc in International Management and Tourism (Erasmus Mundus European Master in Tourism Management) organized in four different countries: Denmark, Slovenia, Spain and the Netherlands. During her master, Ioana leaded in-depth research on how spatial computing environments can improve the treatment routine for chronic disease patients. As a result, Ioana founded Avvy, a company that integrated VR as a tool to create and develop applications for patient care. She has been awarded several times for entrepreneurship and innovation such as Most Innovative Business Idea, at Go Buddy Entrepreneurial Weekend (Denmark), End-finalist Health Pitch Event at Dutch Technology Week (Netherlands) and Innovation in Tourism Sector at Grant Xiquet Sabater (Spain). Born in Romania and raised in Spain, Ioana is passionate about global cultures, trekking expeditions, sustainable social development initiatives.
