For Oliver Czeslik, narration is an adventure. Based on a personal experience, his VR Installation Me & My Brain creates a shared social space, a new vision of the brain through art. His plays travelled internationally, e.g. “khaddafi rocks” directed by Philipp Seymore Hoffmann at the Public Theatre, New York. He produced theatrical movies and TV feature films, mostly based on his screenplays, and shown among others on Sky Movies and ZDF.Oliver is a frequent lecturer, among others at Deutsche Film und Fernsehakademie Berlin (dffb), and lead international workshops e.g. at Theatertreffen Berlin. Founder of the screen-writing department at S. Fischer publishers. Together with Kathrin Brunner, Oliver founded mYndstorm productions to bring movement to the structures – between the galloping development in the field of film, science, VR, AI and visual Art; and traditional cultural values and ideas of ‚storytelling’. mYndstorm productions works with artists and scientists, and could convince great avantgarde movie maker Fred Kelemen to direct his first piece in VR with Me & My Brain.
After his personal experience of leaving terms of structured narratives – with a heavy stroke 3 years ago – he is more curious than ever about learning from the human brain, whose open structures he sees as a model for a future society.
